てもらう (te morau)
Meaning: to get somebody to do something
How to use the: Receiver + は + Giver + に + Verb-てform + もらう/いただく
Explain: Describing what someone is doing to something.
Example sentences:
1, 私は日本人の友達に日本料理を教えてもらった。
Watashi wa nihonjin no tomodachi ni nihonryōri o oshiete moratta.
I have a Japanese friend to teach how to make Japanese dishes.
2, 山田さんにお金を貸してもらった。
Yamada-san ni okane o kashite moratta.
I was lent money by Mr. Yamamoto
3, きみは、最高の弁護士に弁護してもらう。
kimi wa, saikou no bengoshi ni bengo shite morau.
You will have the best lawyer to defend you.
4, 個人的に言わせてもらうと、彼女はわがままよ。
kojinteki ni iwasete morau to, kanojo wa wagamama yo.
Personally, I think she’s being selfish.
