How to use the: Vた+ものだ

Explain:
Used in retrospect to include moods and feelings about things that have been carried out in the past

Example sentences:
1, そのころは週末になると書店にいりびだったものでした。
Sono koro wa shūmatsu ni naru to shoten ni iri bida tta monodeshita.
At that time, I spend time in the bookstore every weekend

2, 学生ころはよく夜更したものでした。
Gakusei koro wa yoku yofuke shita monodeshita.
When I was a student, I often stayed up late at night.

3, 小さい頃はよくみんなで近くの公園へ遊びに行ったものでした。
Chīsai koro wa yoku min’nade chikaku no kōen e asobi ni itta monodeshita.
When I was young, people used to play near parks

4, 子供の時はよくおかしを食べたものでした。
Kodomo no toki wa yoku okashi o tabetamonodeshita.
When I was little, I used to eat candy

5, 彼は、若い頃は周りの人とよくけんかをしたものだが、今はすっかりおだやかになった。
Kare wa, wakai koro wa mawarinohito to yoku kenka o shita monodaga, ima wa sukkari odayaka ni natta.
He often had quarrels with others when he was young, but now he’s calm down.

Sono koro wa shūmatsu ni naru to eigakan ni iribitatta monodeshita.
