んばかりに (n bakari ni)

Meaning: as if; as though

How to use the:
Verb-ないform (-ない) + んばかり + に/の/だ
Exception: する -> せん + ばかりに

Example sentences:
1, そうだろうか、と言わんばかりに彼女は目を見開いた。
sou darou ka, to iwan bakari ni kanojo wa me o mihiraita.
Her eyes widened as if to say: is it really so?

2, 私は涙を浮かべんばかりにしてマネジャーに懇願した。
watashi wa namida o ukaben bakari ni shite manejaa ni kongan shita.
I appealed almost tearfully to the manager.

3, ミナコはわたしの姿を見ると、気も狂わんばかりに喜んだ。
minako wa watashi no sugata o miru to, ki mo kuruwan bakari ni yorokonda.
Minako was half wild with delight when she saw me.
