1. See you: では、また Dewa, mata (Formal)… Literal meaning: “Well then, again”
2. See you later: では、またあとで Dewa mata atode (Formal)
3. See you: じゃ、また Ja, mata (Formal)
4. See you later: じゃ、またあとでJa, mata atode (Formal)
5. See ya!: じゃ、また(な) Ja, mata (na) (Informal) … generally used by male
6. See ya!: じゃ、またね ja, mata ne (Informal)… generally used by female
7. See ya!: じゃな Ja na (Informal)… generally used by male
8. See ya!: じゃね Ja ne (Informal)… generally used by female
9. Bye-bye : バイバイ Bai bai (Informal)
10. Good-bye/So long : さようなら or さよなら Sayoonara or Sayonara (Formal)
11. Please be well/healthy: どうぞ、おげんきで Doozo ogenki de (Formal)
12. Be well/healthy: げんきで Genki de (Informal)
13. Be well/healthy: げんきでね Genki de ne (Informal)… generally used by female
14. Well then, Good-night: では (or じゃあ) おやすみなさい Dewa (or Jaa), oyasumi nasai. (Formal) … Only when you say Good-bye at night.
15. Well then, good night: じゃあ、おやすみ Jaa, oyasumi. (Informal)
