Meaning: without doing, do nothing

How to use the: Verb-ないform (remove ない) + ず(に)

Explain:
This sentence is a shortened form of the 「~ないで」 form that describes not doing something but in a state of regret. This sentence pattern is often used in writing

Example sentences:
1, 宿題を持たずに、学校へ行ってしまった。
Shukudai o motazuni, gakkō e itte shimatta.
I went to school and forgot to bring follow my homework

2, あきらめずに最後まで頑張って下さい。
Akiramezu ni saigomade ganbattekudasai.
Please Do your best to the end, don’t give up

3, 薬の説明よくを読まずに使っている人は多いようです。
Kusuri no setsumei yoku o yomazuni tsukatte iru hito wa ōi yōdesu.
There are many people taking medicine without watching the instructions

4, 食事のあとで歯を磨かずに、虫歯をされました。
Shokuji no ato de ha o migakazu ni, mushiba o sa remashita.
After eating without brushing, then there is tooth decay

5, 連絡せずに会社を休みました。
renraku sezu ni kaisha o yasumimashita.
I took a day off work without contacting my company.

6, 昨日学校へ行かずに、魚を釣りしまった。
Kinō gakkō e ikazu ni, sakana o tsuri shimatta.
Yesterday I went fishing without going to school
