JLPT N2 Grammar: 抜く (nuku)

ぬく(~抜く)(nuku)

Meaning: to do something to the end; completely, extremely

How to use the:
Verb-ますstem + ぬく
Verb-ますstem + 抜く

Explain:
Complete all and a complete process or action

Example sentences:
1, 苦しかったが最後まで走りぬいた。
Kurushikattaga saigomade hashiri nuita.
It was hard, but I ran to the end

2, 彼女は初めてマラソンに参加して最後まで走りぬいた。
kanojo wa hajimete marason ni sanka shite saigo made hashiri nuita.
She competed in the marathon for the first time and ran all the way to the goal without giving up.

3, 一度始めたからには、あきらめずに最後までやり抜こう。
Ichido hajimetakaraniwa, akiramezu ni saigomade yari nukou.
Once you have started, do not give up and go through to the end.

4, 大変な仕事でも、やり抜く自信がある。
taihen na shigoto demo, yarinuku jishin ga aru.
I have confidence to finish even difficult jobs.

5, 考え抜いた結果の決心だからもう変わることはない。
Kangaenuita kekka no kesshindakara mō kawaru koto wanai.
Since this was the determination that I had thought through carefully, there was definitely no change

6, わたし、いくら考えぬいても、どうしたらいいかわかりませんの。
watashi, ikura kangae nuite mo, dou shitara ii ka wakarimasen no.
I’ve thought and I’ve thought, and I can’t see what to do!

Attention:
Emphasize the sense of accomplishment after enduring hardship.
