Example sentences:
1, 日本は韓国より大きです.
Nihon wa Kankoku yori ōkidesu.
Japan is bigger than Korea.

2, 朝寝坊より早起きのほうが身体にいいよ。
asanebou yori hayaoki no hou ga karada ni ii yo.
It’s better to get up early in the morning than to sleep in.

3, 今年の冬は昨年よりも寒い。
Kotoshi no fuyu wa sakunen yori mo samui.
This winter is colder than last winter

4, 彼女よりあなたの方がきれいですよ。
kanojo yori anata no hou ga kirei desu yo.
You’re more beautiful than her.

Attention:
N1 は N2 よ り is not used for adjectives in the negative form.

寿司は天ぷらより安いですか?
Sushi wa tenpura yori yasuidesu ka?
Sushi is cheaper than tempura?

No, tempura is more expensive
Right いいえ、天ぷらは寿司より高いです。
Wrong いいえ、天ぷらは寿司より安くありません。

If you want to negate, use the adjective opposite meaning, not the negative form of the adjective.
