How to use the:
Verb-dictionary form + ということだ
Phrase + ということだ

Explain:
The way of speaking conveys the original content heard. Often associated with sentence patterns that express orders, wills, speculations, prohibitions, etc.

Example sentences:
1, 山田さんは近く会社をやめて留学刷るということだ。
Yamada-san wa chikaku kaisha o yamete ryūgaku suru to iu koto da.
It is said that Yamada-san will soon think about doing it to study abroad

2, 物価は来月からさらに上がるということだ。
bukka wa raigetsu kara sara ni agaru to iu koto da.
I heard that prices will increase even more next month.

3, 募集のしめきりは9月末(だ)ということだから、応募するのなら急いだほうがいい。
Boshū no shimekiri wa 9 getsumatsu (da) to iu koto dakara, ōbo suru nonara isoida hō ga ī
It is said that the recruitment deadline is the end of September, so if you want to apply, hurry up
