Meaning: so much… that

How to use the:
Verb-dictionary form + あまり
Verb-casual, past + あまり
Noun + のあまり

Example sentences:
1, あまりの宿題の多さに頭が痛くなった。
Amari no shukudai no ō-sa ni atama ga itaku natta.
I had a headache because of too much homework.

2, 母は悲しみのあまり、病の床に就いてしまった。
Haha wa kanashimi no amari,-byō no yuka ni tsuite shimatta.
My mother was so sad that she fell ill

3, あまりの問題の複雑さに、解決策を考える気力もわかない。
Amarino mondai no fukuzatsu-sa ni, kaiketsusaku o kangaeru kiryoku mo wakanai.
I can’t even think of a solution because of the complexity of the problem.

4, しばらくは心配のあまり、眠れない夜がつづきました。
shibaraku wa shinpai no amari, nemurenai yoru ga tsuzukimashita.
For a while I was so worried I couldn’t sleep.
