は (wa)

Meaning: it, is, in

How to use the: は – wa
[topic of the sentence] + [は/wa] + rest of the sentence

Example sentences:
1. 私(わたし)は日本(にほん)の料理(りょうり)が好(す)きです。
Watashi (watashi) wa Nihon (ni hon) no ryōri (ryōri) ga kō (su)kidesu.
I like Japanese food

2. 山田(やまだ)さんは日本語(にほんご)が上手(じょうず)です。
Yamada (Yamada)-san wa nihongo (ni hon go) ga jōzu (jōzu)desu.
Mr. Yamada is good at Japanese.

3. この家(いえ)はドアが大(おお)きいです
Kono-ka (ie) wa doa ga dai (ō ) kīdesu
This house has a large door.

Attention:
When asking with は, you will also answer with は, with answer information in place of the question
Example sentences:
A: これは何ですか?
Kore wa nani de su ka?
What is this?
B: これは私の眼鏡(めがね)です。
Kore wa watashi no megane (megane)desu.
This is my glasses.
