上で (ue de)

Meaning: after

How to use the:
Verb-casual, past + 上で: after, upon
Verb-dictionary form + 上で: when, for, in order to
Noun + 上で: after, when

Describe what the first condition to do next will have that result

Example sentences:
1, では、担当も者と相談した上で、改めてご返事させていただきます。
Dewa, tantō mo mono to sōdan shita ue de, aratamete go henji sa sete itadakimasu.
Then, after discussing with the person in charge, I will respond to you

2, この経験は私にとって、生活上の様々な役割を果たす上で大変貴重な勉強になった。
kono keiken wa watashi ni totte, seikatsujou no samazama na yakuwari o hatasu ue de taihen kichou na benkyou ni natta.
This was an amazing experience for me, and a very instructional one in fulfilling various roles.

3, 一応ご両親にお話しなさった上で、ゆっくり考えていただいてけっこうです。
Ichiō goryōshin ni ohanashi nasatta ue de, yukkuri kangaete itadaite kekkōdesu.
After talking to your parents, think about it slowly.

4, これまでずっと仕事をする上で最も大事にしてきたことは、肯定的なメッセージを広めることです。
kore made zutto shigoto o suru ue de motto mo daiji ni shite kita koto wa, kouteiteki na messeeji o hiromeru koto desu.
The most important thing to me in my career has always been spreading a positive message.

5, やると言ってしまったうえで、何が何でもやらなければならない。
Yaru to itte shimatta ue de, naniganandemo yaranakereba naranai.
You have to do anything after you have said that you do.

6, アパートは部屋の中をみた上で買うかどうかを決めたい。
apaato wa heya no naka o mita ue de kau kadouka o kimetai.
I want to decide whether to buy this apartment or not after I’ve seen the rooms.
