How to use the:

Explain:
Describe the incident after it happened, and the situation did not change and the situation remained the same. The incident happened as expected and unexpectedly.
Example sentences:
1, 彼は卒業して日本を出ていったきり、もう5年も帰ってこない。
Kare wa sotsugyō shite Nihon o dete itta kiri, mō 5-nen mo kaettekonai.
He graduated and left Japan, and hasn’t come back for five years.
2, それからいままでハルミがひとりきりになったことは何度となくあった。
