か~ないかのうちに (ka~nai ka no uchi ni)

Meaning: right after; as soon as

How to use the:
Verb-dictionary form + か + Verb-ないform + うちに/かのうちに
Verb-casual, past + か + Verb-ないform + うちに/かのうちに

Explain:
Describing the situation, although it has not yet been completed ….. but immediately …

Example sentences:
1, 冷蔵庫に冷えたか冷えないかのうちに、ビールを取り出して飲んだ。
Reizōko ni hieta ka hienai ka no uchi ni, bīru o toridashite nonda.
I took out the beer and drank it, whether it was cold in the refrigerator or not.

2, 娘が出かけるか出かけないかのうちに雨が降り出した。
musume ga dekakeru ka dekakenai ka no uchi ni ame ga furidashita.
It started raining as soon as my daughter went out.

3, 話が済んだか済まないかのうちに、彼女は電話を切った。
Hanashi ga sunda ka sumanai ka no uchi ni, kanojo wa denwa o kitta.
Whether the talk was over or not, she hung up.

4, 今朝まだ目が覚めるか覚めないかのうちに、友達が迎えに来た。
kesa mada me ga sameru ka samenai ka no uchi ni, tomodachi ga mukae ni kita.
My friend came to pick me up right after I woke up this morning.

5, 夕食に手をつけるかつけないかのうちに、ポケットベルで呼び出された。
Yūshoku ni te o tsukeru ka tsukenai ka no uchi ni, pokettoberu de yobidasa reta.
While she was just about to eat dinner with her chopsticks, the beeper had a message to call
