いかに (ikani)

Meaning: how; how much

How to use the:
いかに + Noun
いかに + Adj
いかに + Verb

Explain:
Used in the case of an expression that, whatever the state, the degree of things, the things in the previous clause, it is still established. opposite (though A is B still)

Example sentences:
1, いかに工夫をこらしても、家族は私の料理には何の関心も示さない。
Ikani kufū o korashite mo, kazoku wa watashi no ryōri ni wa nani no kanshin mo shimesanai.
No matter how hard I try, everyone in the family doesn’t show any interest in my food.

2, いかに考えてみても、みずからそれを説明することができなかった。
ikani kangaete mite mo, mizukara sore o setsumei suru koto ga dekinakatt
No matter how hard I thought, I could not contrive to explain it to myself.

3, いかに頭がよくても体が弱くてはこの仕事はつとまらない。
Ikani atama ga yokute mo karada ga yowakute wa kono shigoto wa tsutomaranai.
No matter how smart you are, this work is boring if your body is weak.

4, その絵がいかに価値のあるものかを、彼女は知っていたのだろうか。
sono e ga ikani kachi no aru mono ka o, kanojo wa shitte ita no darou ka.
I wonder if she had any idea how valuable that painting is.
