Meaning: as soon as

How to use the: Verb-dictionary form + が早いか

Explain:
Used in the case of an action performed immediately after a certain event, or the state of an event that occurred immediately.

Example sentences:
1, その言葉を聞くがはやいか、彼はその男になぐりかかった。
Sono kotoba o kiku ga hayai ka, kare wa sono otoko ni naguri kakatta.
Just when he heard that, he finished hitting him

2, 先生が地震だと叫ぶが早いか、子供たちは机の下にもぐりこんだ。
sensei ga jishin da to sakebu ga hayai ka, kodomotachi wa tsukue no shita ni moguri konda.
The kids crawled under the table as soon as the teacher shouted “Earthquake.”

3, その男はジョッキをつかむが早いか一気に飲みほした。
Sono otoko wa jokki o tsukamu ga hayai ka ikkini nomihoshita.
The man grabbed a mug but drank it at once or quickly.

4, 子供は、学校から帰って来ると、玄関にカバンをおくがはやいか、また飛び出していった。

5, 授業終了のベルを聞くが早いか、生徒たちは教室を飛び出していった。
jugyou shuuryou no beru o kiku ga hayai ka, seitotachi wa kyoushitsu o tobidashite itta.
As soon as the bell that marked the end of the lesson rang, the students rushed out of the classroom.
