Meaning: even

How to use the:
Verb-dictionary form + だに
Noun + だに

Explain:
A often goes with the verb 考 え る 、 想像 、 思 い 出 す。
The B often means suffering and fear

Example sentences:
1, このような事故が起きるとは想像だにしなかった。
Kono yōna jiko ga okiru to wa sōzō dani shinakatta.
I never imagined that such an accident would happen.

2, いま往時を回想するだに暗然たるものあり。
ima ouji o kaisou suru dani anzen taru mono ari.
I feel sick just thinking about those days.

3, 一顧だにしない。
Ikko dani shinai.
Not even a little looked in.

4, 自分が政治家になろうとは、想像だにしていなかった。
jibun ga seijika ni narou towa, souzou dani shite inakatta.
I never imagined that I’d become a politician.

Like grammar す ら / で す ら
Often go with な い
