べからず (bekarazu)

Meaning: must not; should not; do not

How to use the: Verb-dictionary form + べからず/べからざる

Explain:
Used in the case of prohibition such as signs, attention signs

Example sentences:
1, 落書きするべからず。
Rakugaki surubekarazu.
Don’t graffiti.

2, 入り口の看板に『危険、入るべからず。危ない』って書いてあるよ。
iriguchi no kanban ni kiken, hairu bekarazu. abunai tte kaite aru yo
There’s a sign over the entrance saying “Danger, do not enter, unsafe.”

3, 芝生に入るべからず。
Shibafu ni hairubekarazu.
Do not step on the grass

4, ここまで来るはよいが、先へ進むべからず。
koko made kuru wa yoi ga, saki e susumu bekarazu.
You may come this far, but no farther.

5, 犬に小便させるべからず。
Inu ni shōben sa serubekarazu.
Don’t let the dog piss.
