Meaning: Just because ~; simply because

How to use the:
Verb-casual, past + ばかりに
Noun + (である)ばかりに
なadjective + な/である + ばかりに
いadjective + ばかりに

Explain:
Describe something that is the cause of bad results. Express dissatisfied mood, regret

Example sentences:
1, 働きがないばかり、友達に馬鹿にされている。
Hataraki ga nai bakari, tomodachi ni baka ni sa rete iru.
Just because I had no job then I was despised by my friends

2, お金がないばかりに、今度の旅行には行けなかったのです。
okane ga nai bakari ni, kondo no ryokou niwa ikenakatta no desu
I can’t travel this time because I have no money.

3, コンピュータを持っていると言ったばかりに、よけいな仕事まで押し付けられる羽目になってしまった。
Konpyūta o motte iru to itta bakari ni, yokeina shigoto made oshitsuke rareru hame ni natte shimatta.
Just because I said that I have a computer, I was forced to do things that were not mine

4, 物価は上がるばかりに、生活は少し楽にならない。
bukka wa agaru bakari ni, seikatsu wa sukoshi raku ni naranai.
Because the prices go up, my life is not getting any easier.
