Meaning: after, later

How to use the:
V1 た +  あとで + V2
N の +  あとで + V2

Explain:
『あ と で』 Used when describing an incident expressed in verb 2, after the fact indicated in verb 1 or noun occurs.

Example sentences:
1, しゅくだいのあとで、ともだちとあそびにいきます。
shukudai no ato de, tomodachi to asobi ni ikimasu.
After finishing my homework, I’m going out with my friend.

2, ケーキはお父さんが帰って来たあとで食べましょうね。
Keeki wa otousan ga kaette kita ato de tabemashou ne.
Let’s eat the cake after the dad comes home.

3, しごとのあとで、のみかいがあります。
shigoto no ato de, nomikai ga arimasu.
People are going out for drinks after work tonight!

4, 学校のあとで買い物をします。
Gakkou no ato de kaimono wo shimasu.
I shop after school.
